reference: Deathscythes and Great Old Ones

So I don't have to keep looking this up every time!! And so my speculations are written for the future.

Also sob canon why do you leave major holes in your organizational structures.

ch. 23 page 9

The 8 Deathscythes & their jurisdictions

Spirit (actually called "Deathscythe") - presumably North America, where Shibusen is
Tezca Tlipoca - South America
Marie Mjolnir - Oceania
Yumi Azusa - East Asia (and Oceania, after Marie is assigned to Stein)
Justin Law - Europe
??? - (different part of?) Europe
??? - West Asia
??? - Africa

ch. 16 page 6

ch. 72 page 31

ch. 72 page 35

ch. 72 page 37

Shinigami's Eight Warriors, aka the Great Old Ones

Shinigami
Asura
Eibon
the thing in the book with Kid
??? x3, who were eaten by Asura (I assume one of these is Asura's weapon)
one other, who Kid knows, and Noah has already captured (probably Excalibur? FACEPALM FOREVER)

SPECULATIONS:
- I don't think Asura is any more or less human than Shinigami; I think all the Great Old Ones are a similar class of highly powerful, soul-collecting, insanity-inflicting beings.
- Shinigami has just deliberately handicapped himself quite a lot, by wearing a silly mask, binding himself physically to Shibusen, and possibly by creating Kid out of part of himself.
- I think Asura's weapon was one of them too because I think he (and Excalibur) was probably not made by Arachne, who created the demon weapons using the Book of Eibon around the same time Asura was bound. It's more likely he was a prototype for her experiments than the result of them.
- GOD WHY AM I TAKING EXCALIBUR SERIOUSLY CANON WHAT ARE YOU DOING
- But seriously Excalibur is on a power and insanity-inducing level with the rest of them, if in a more ridiculous way. And you can see a thing that could potentially be him in that first page with Asura...
- OR NO ACTUALLY. It looks more like the Index of the Book of Eibon. So, Eibon, maybe? That doesn't mean Excalibur's not one too, though.
- HOW DOES THIS ALL AFFECT JUSTIN'S RELIGION IDEFK. Even if that's why I started collating all of it.
