[If you think Rose looks rather unnerved by the ghosty shopkeepers... that's because she is, but probably not for the reasons you're thinking. She's surrounded by a very solid clothing store filled with ghostly merchandise--and ghostly shopkeepers.Er, this is an event, right? One we expected? I mean, don't wanna sound too eager about that or ( Read more... )

without a bfg, this reminds me of something, how interesting, *event: timesink, curiosity killed the cat, wait this isn't right

Dickens?

I believe it may be an event. We did not have one last week. But... I am not altogether certain. There was no announcement.

Charles Dickens? He's a pretty famous author... where I'm from, at least.

The timing's all weird then. So... are the Animus messing with us or what? Make us think there wasn't gonna be one, that sort of thing? Do they do that?

He is in my world as well. You dealt with nightmares after reading?

It is most weird. But they have never been predictable, no matter what patterns we have sought to assign to them.

Uh, no, not quite. Never read much Dickens myself, other than what I had to for English. ...Don't suppose you'd believe me if I told you I got to see ghosts--well, aliens, really--on Christmas in Cardiff with Charles Dickens?

I suppose that's the troubling part about the spirit thingies controlling the place being completely mad...

It is very curious, I certainly agree... you, ah, sound as though you have some notion of what might be going on? I do have my own theory, but it is a rather daring one.

Not really. It's weird, the last time there were ghosts about, it turned out they weren't really ghosts but, uh, sort of people-shaped robots from another dimension, pressing through onto our world. It... didn't turn out well.

Dunno if that's the case here, though. Seems at least a little likely, given how easily people seem to pop over to this world in the first place.

Fascinating. I did not consider this possibility... people do get pulled here with great ease and frequency, yet I'm not certain that I've ever heard of anyone trying to actively come in.

[Lol, you win funny points for that, Topher. Not quite as good as the Doctor singing Ghostbusters, the last time she met ghosts, but pretty good.]

Uhh, given that the ghosts turned out to really be killer robots from another dimension that got into a war with some other killer robots from another dimension and while sending them back lots of people died or were lost... probably not.

Events? Oh, like - I'm not sure what it is, Miss. Do you want someone to come and check for you?
