Ah, little lad, you're staring at my fingers. Would you like me to tell you the little story of right-hand/left-hand? The story of good and evil? H-A-T-E! It was with this left hand that old brother Cain struck the blow that laid his brother low. L-O-V-E! You see these fingers, dear hearts? These fingers has veins that run straight to the soul of ( Read more... )

i am not trying to start anything nor am i saying that it was correct for curtis to make those statements about a-rod, but maybe madden was on to something after all. considering the source, though, it's nothing to fret over, but i think it's a bit bold to deny that all of the a-rod/clubhouse stuff cannot be true.

but, hey. what do i know? i'm the ultimate moose girl and he's more of a clubhouse cancer than a-rod will ever be. :D

1) i think it's insane to be coming off a world series win and still be talking trash about the yankees.

2) i don't think the arod stuff doesn't have a grain of truth to it; you're right when you say something had to give him that idea, i'm not denying that, or saying arod's the nicest bestest guy ever. i DO think that the ny press has been rough on the guy all year. and to bring that kind of vague detail out NOW, and to pretty much scream from the rooftops NOBODY LIKES YOU is cruel and unnecessary. that's my beef with madden. frankly i think chemistry is nice but overrated. luck and skill win these things, not being BFF.

you know i hate curt as much you do and i think it was 150% lame of him to trash the yanks after a WS won. have some respect and, if you must, rejoice in your winning ways rather than trash others. i wasn't advocating curt's comments; i was trying to bring out a hidden point in his statements that could possibly be connected to madden's article. god, it's starting to sound like a conspiracy. :D ( ... )

I must be a bitch, because I don't feel bad for any of these baseball players. Why should I feel sympathy for them? Sure, in the end they're all human, but unlike the average person they get to go home to their mansions, luxury cars, and pretty much buy themselves happiness.

I, for one, don't feel pity.

it's not bitchy, lor. and i'm not expecting anyone else to identify with what i'm saying - your attitude is likely the prevailing one in our materialistic society, and one that arod himself i'm sure subscribed to. i'm just not from the school of thought that assumes things=happiness.
