i'm sure everyone's heard the latest rj conjecture. my feelings on his acquisition are essentially the same as they were in july. as it stands, if it goes down, i will vomit up my intestines, go into a weekend long coma, and when i wake up, root for whoever's in pinstripes.

Most Yankee fans are feeling that way, I think. People who aren't Yankees fans are kinda taken by surprise, but I guess they kinda forget that the Yankees were the team that co-super-OMG-2riffic! MVPs beat in 2001.

but seriously. the amount of people in ecstasies over this trade is making me queasy. my annoyance is less about him than that it speaks volumes about the lack of a plan for the future of the team. and it makes me sad. earlier on a msg board i posted something like "while yelling 'YOU'RE NO MATT NOKES!' at jorge when he frigs up has high comedic value for me, i remember the teams of the 80s/early 90s an i don't want to go back there, ever."

or maybe the idea that a guy who willingly sports a mullet is about move within my tiny sphere of sports love has me all indignant. man, someone just wake me up when this is all over.
