How do you tell them? You use words. You make decisions for yourself and you inform them of such decisions. Simple.

My condolences to you and your family. How to tell your family that you wish to return to Afganistan, to continue the mission, I'm not sure. But I've always found that it's best to simply tell the truth. If you belive that you need to return to Afganistan and continue the mission, tahn that is the right thing to do, and you can add telling your loved ones of YOUR decision to the long list of things that prove doing the right thing isn't easy
