Okay so I'm having a minor freak out here. Tomarrow is the day I'm suposed to go on active duty and there is still no plans, orders or confirmation at my level. I could still be waiting a month for orders (like WTF mate). If it weren't for the constraints of my civilian employment which I need to survive it wouldn't be so bad. We in the bueacracy hate it too. We frankly can't understand when this happens, because there was plenty of notice given to the upper level, and "marching orders" were provided long before that.

I mean, put up or shut up already.

"Is this any way to run an Army?"
(That's why I am in the Navy, Sir.)

I'm happy to soldier on and all that jazz but it doesn't put food in my belly or gas in the tank my friend.

Odly enough in the Idaho guard its not unusual to not get formal orders cut until you've been working for three days or the mission has already been acomplished, but then someone usualy has a plan to make it happen on schedual.

*giggles then frowns* I've been on medical hold for almost a year- you'd think that would key them in that they should pick up the pace on my medical testing....it's only slowing down.

I, too, am in the navy.

Mrf, fun fun. So it's pretty much waiting around until they suddenly go, "Hey! We actually decided what you're going to do now."?

Sounds like hurry up and wait is still alive and well in the military.
Don't worry, just remember that some day, some time, some place, someone, some how, will make some sort of a decision. Take care and stay safe, I konw how hard it is waiting for the ballon to go up.
