*looks down at his badge in his hand* .. I know what you mean buddy. I just hope that there will not be a day my convictions & ethics force me to drop this piece of tin on the chiefs desk. Even the thought of that day coming causes me emotional distress.
*armclasp* Aye. The thought is not a pleasant one. I just hope such a day never again comes.
I got the hood and book a couple days ago. Your post card came in the day before yesterday. I wanted to thankyou my friend, I just got wrapped up with the elections these past few days. Thanks my friend.
Well I do hope you enjoy Gen. Chamberlin's book, and like I said that nomex hood should be good to go. If I didn't have 3 or 4 kicking around I'd trust my brain housing group to it. As for a surplus helmet, I may have tracked down a good used leather if you like a more traditional look. As for something to add to a suit, I have a box of old helmets kicking around somewhere (ok I know what room it is in but the room is packed floor to ceiling / wall to wall while I work on building a man cave, and a craft room for the mate) so when I find it I'll e-mail you some pic's and you can pick out the one you want.
Oooh, nothing wrong with the old traditional leather look. I could use a couple more rooms myself. My girlfriend just moved in and set up residence (ie computer) in front of my gun locker so I;ll have to rethink my own man cave.
Anjel its not that we are buying up ammo to overthrow a lawful government elected by and anserable to the people. We are buying arms and ammo because Obama's political agenda includes the disarmament of the American people
( ... )
Well the reason for buying ammo like it's going out of style has nothing to do with preparing for war. It has to do with the fact that president elect Obama's anti 2nd amendment friends have published that since outlawing firearms hasn't worked they want to outlaw or heavily tax ammunition sales. Well that and they are just remembering Clinton's assault weapons ban from back in 94'.
So wait, woah. You're happy to accept a thick as pigshit yokel who trips over his own words, generates a global instabillity and fear of nucler war with China, gets the american people TEN TRILLION dollars in debt (Thats YOURS. That's a NATIONAL debt. Have fun when the bank recalls it.) for years and years and now when a man who seems to understand all the problems your nation is currently having, rather than tossing around crowd control buzzwords like "September Eleven! Iraq! TERRORISTS LOL!" you're acting like it's bad?
I'm sorry but as an outsider looking into Amercia the world opinion of your country couldn't possibily have gotten any worse. At least the majority of the WORLD is happy with the current winner, unlike last time.
I'm sorry you're favorite didn't get in, but look at the bigger picture, and especially look at the past... and at the very least show your support for your nation in times of change rather than rise up becuase red didn't win.
1st My freedom of speech 2nd My right to bear arms 3rd The 491 days I spent in combat along side the greatest folks the world has to offer in my generation. I want the blood sweat and tears of my US and foreign comrades to be remembered for our sacrifice.
I mean you no disrespect, and would hope I could call you a friend but to be frank I do not care what you think of my country.
I think I mis worded what I want to say there at the end of my last statement, I didn't mean to direct it at at you in particular. My mate does agree that I may have been off topic, so I want to explain.
For me military service is at the core pf the issue. I've lost friends and family over there and the last thing I want is some one screwing up everything we've accomplished and leaving the American history books with another shameful "Fall of Saigon". For 20 years after the Vietnam war US GI's were spit on and shamed for everything under the sun but most of all for "embarassing us." It was nothing but a load of bull but that is what made it into the history books. In school it was like US history stopped sometime in the 50's, you just didn't talk about Viet Nam.
Our grandfathers deserved better than that then. Our brothers deserve better than that now.

I'm probably going to purchase some more reloading supplies tomorrow after work, before the prices go up.

My collection is down to .303 and NATO calibers for shooters. The less common chamberings have been relagated to display duties elsewhere.
