Interesting. I've never heard of any positive things of the VA. Just that they are horribly slow, inefficient and let our men and women rot sometimes before they get service. I'm missing something here. I'd be all for private insurance covering if it stops stories like the below.
One of my marine friends had an older retired friend who died of some form of throat cancer before the VA even bothered to schedule a biopsy of the obvious growth in his neck, you could feel and and even SEE it by the end. But, nope, gotta keep that schedule, can't see you until X.
Erf, :(. I too have my gripes about the VA, ie being turned down initially for a hearing claim after an IED because I had a great hearing test when I first enlisted. But since 2003 it has been steadily improving because it has finally been in the spotlight.
The problem I have with this idea is two fold. 1 the government got these lads and lasses hurt, they have the moral and financial responsibility to get them fixed. 2nd, this plan is to simply bill insurance companies for care provided by the VA rather than completely privatizing the system.
Anyways, how've ya been Pathia? it has been ages since we last spoke.
It sounds like something the insurance companies could sue over. You don't have to pay for services not rendered in the first place, I would that would be basic contract law.
I'm doing pretty good! Keeping really busy, head down, workwork, cuts coming at work. Need to make sure I'm at the tip-top of the pile so I don't have to worry about job security :)
I'm flying out for FWA tomorrow night tho, time for some relaxin :D
