the heat in this town is oppressive.  i grew up in the south, so i'm used to humidity, but not extreme humidity in a swamp/concrete jungle.  at least at home there are, you know, trees, and mountains.  d.c. is miserable - the heat index is 110 today.  i'm not a very sweaty person but on my walk to work this morning i think even my ankles were ( Read more... )

i'm debating closing my lj account.  i've had this thing since my first year of college.  but then what do i do?  that's about 6 years' worth of journal entries that i don't want to lose forever but i'm not sure what i should do....suggestions?

we found an apartment!  moving in july.   we'll be in cleveland park, right by the metro, in an apartment almost exactly like the (lovely) one i'm in now.......only (holy shit) i'm actually moving in with my boyfriend.  i'm happy.  he's happy.  this is what it's all about.  and i'll be living downtown, which is awesome.  cleveland park is a lovely ( Read more... )
