An article in the NY post from a few day ago caught my eye about some fashion show in which the models were wearing animal based prostetics to give them an animalistic look

Neat idea, shame they didn't make those prosthetics look good though.

Ick. And it wasn't too long ago that someone was wearing a whole lion head on her shoulder. The head would have been an excellent start for a fursuit.
