Great idea for 2x4s

When you go to the store and buy some 2x4s for a project the next thing you're going to need to do it measure them and cut them the length you want.  Why not print a ruler on the side of the 2x4 to save all that measuring time!

Well #1 it would make the Wood lose the Wood look and have markings all over the wood, (well you cant Mark just One Side..) and if you cut the Wood, the Ruler on the extra Half of wood would not be Right to use again..

Have you seen the New Ply-Wood with the Pre ChalkLine Printed on them, They never Line up with the house I still help to Frame.( and it looks like a massive Tic-tac-toe Drawing on the house..

Mark one side from 0 at one end the the other with 0 at the other end. That would meet most needs.
I also have not found the chalked OSB to be as useful as I would have expected.

Or have it Pre Notched into the wood..Like Press on measured groves..
