Lincoln running rough

Occasionally my 74 Lincoln Mark IV was idling rough.  I'd tried a few things but without success.  Yesterday is was 95 degrees and about 95% humidity and I took it on a longer trip and it really ran rough when stopped and even stalled at lights.  I talked to a number of people about it and they had all sorts of suggestions.  One auto parts store
