Happy to hear all went well at your end. How did the chickens weather the storm?

Our area lost power at 8:30 Monday night or so I was told. My Monday night flight from Florida to Atlantic City was cancelled. Made it back on Tuesday night, so I bought a generator. A poor investment it turned out as power came on less than a day later. Enjoyed the rewiring though. I got back just in time for the county government to close down. Two consecutive weeks of vacation is never enough.

The chickens got their feathers ruffled but that's about all. A generator can be very helpful if you can get the gas for an extended outage.

I Thought you had Solar for your Main Power Usage..?

The solar system is not built with batteries so it can provide backup power.
