Summary: Still crying you breathe, "Don't leave me again." He takes your hand, squeezing lightly. "I won't, Remus. I promise."

He whispers your name in the darkness.
It can’t be him, you think.
You reach out, inviting him closer. But not daring to believe that he’s there.
He crawls into bed, pulling you close to him. Holding you too tightly he murmurs, “I’m back.”
You release a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
He reaches up to wipe something off your cheek. A tear.
And then he’s kissing you, almost too fiercely. Burning your lips. Sending shivers down your spine.
It’s over all too soon.
