[The feed turns on to show a section of the Great Wall facing the Wastes, but it's a little blurry.  Light rain falls on the screen, the drops streaking across it.

We then see Remus come in from the side of the screen and pull the hood of his cloak up over his head as he wraps himself in a blanket and leans against the wall.  He keeps his wand ready ( Read more... )

[ She had watched with curiosity in the confines of her safe haven during the day, unable to go out and look while the sun. Instead she watched and waited, slipping out once night fell, a rustle of black material and silver chains that fell in loops from around her neck, holding pendants, lockets, and a large heavy cross. And in small gloved hands, the handle of her scythe rested, fingers curled just under the silver blade.

She walked along the wall, her footsteps silent, looking for the boy she had seen earlier only stopping once she had found him ]

One should not be out so late. That which lies in the darkness is none to pleasant to run into.

[It had been a long day and Remus was tired from being on high alert for so long. But it was dark and Remus knew probably better than other Wizards that there was no safety in nightfall. Of course, the flat wasn't much safer right now.

When he heard the rustling fabric and chiming chains, he raised his wand again, wolfish eyes adjusting to the darkness to make out the figure approaching him.]

It's a good thing I can take care of myself, then.

[ She regarded him silently for a few moments, sapphire blue eyes able to see so clearly in the dark. And she could smell the paranoia on him, it had been all about the city lately, almost drowning her in its stench, but with this one, there was something else.

She took a few steps closer, twirling the handle of her blade so it hung neatly over her shoulder ]

I have heard such claims from many others before as well. But it is not the creatures out there [ She motions outward toward the wastelands with a gloved hand ] but those who possess the ability to mimic and blend in with mortals.
