You know that horrible feeling of being both bored and overwhelmed at the same time? I suppose it's just dissatisfaction, but it's damned frustrating. I have plenty to do - I have finished my homework for the moment (the first couple of days' worth wasn't too horrible), but there is plenty of reading that I could do to get ahead, if I was so ( Read more... )

Yes. It's my week. Overwhelmed by what I must do and should do and don't really want to do but have to, but disinterested in all of it. Which is surprising, as I thought I was bored, but I'm bored of being bored and bored of that too, and it's become a rather large circle of boredom engendering boredom. But until I can break the circle of boredom, I've given up and decided to thumb my nose (and all gags against said nose aside, please, I've heard them all before) at convention and habit from previous years and sleep more than a few hours. Sadly, it would seem that sleeping is interfering with my intention of actually passing my subjects this year, but yet it's such a seductive vice. Really. I'm not sure how to explain -- a soliloquy to somulence, a rhapsody to restitution, and my alliteration is starting to scare me, so I should stop it ( ... )
