Or at least my first retcon on the Pokemorph MUSH. When you have to spend a half-hour explaining to a character all the reasons why he can't have an NPC walk past an armed, telekinetically-powered police officer, grab the person she's interrogating, throw him against a rock so hard that it shatters, and then Hyper Beam him at point-blank range

What's "retcon" mean?

"Retcon" = "RETroactive CONtinuity." The idea of going back and re-writing some past part of already-established canon to make current things make sense again. Particularly infamous in comic books and the like, where the writers often have to retcon things from the past few decades to make the current plotline work.

In this case, the three of us in the scene had to step back and say, "None of this ever happened."
