Who likes to write? Who reads Harry Potter? I need to do another one of these: http://www.ugo.com/a/heroes-theories/ - Who's Going to Die in Book 7, with our theories on the chance of survival for each character. We want to do LOTS of characters - Harry, Ron, Hermione, various ( Read more... )

I'll do Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington:

It's unlikely that Nearly Headless Nick will perish in this volume, as he has already died- 199 years before Harry arrived at Hogwarts. We know he can be petrified by a glance from a basilisk, but as that's more akin to a ghost-coma than actual re-death, it shouldn't really enter into the equation. In fact, unless Nick takes a field trip to the Department of Mysteries and decides to follow Sirius's example, I think we can declare him perfectly safe.
