Kelly the trendsetter, I guess. Lace up Oxford heels are all the rage. I got a pair at target a year and a half ago and wore them until the metal shank in the sole snapped (and dug into my foot at a VNV show ( Read more... )

Also along with your size thing...it's the same thing with me. I stand, without heels, at exactly 6 ft and one quarter inch. When I was in my first year out of high school, I was 150 lbs (25 lbs below "healthy weight" for my height) and I was still a size 12. I will never ever go below that, and honestly, I don't want to. I am with you, a size 14 is the size to be. Maybe even a perfect 16 for me. And honestly, I got wayyyy less male attention at my lowest weight. Because I was disgusted with my body and self at the time, and wore nothing but band t-shirts and jeans. Now that I am a married housewife, I spend most of my days in pajamas, and when I go to the store, I usually am found with jeans and man t shirts..but at the same time, I guess I am subconsciously trying NOT to attract male attention, since I know I don't have the best will-power, ;-) But it was that in between stage, where I fluctuated from a sz. 18 to a 20 that people used to joke about my "voodoo", because no matter where I went, I had men falling all over me. I remember those pics you posted of when you looked like that. You really could see literally every bone. What I don't understand is these supermodels who are 5'11 or taller, and yet still manage to fit into sz 2 or sz 0 clothes. What do they do, get their bones surgically chopped down or something?

This post is thumbs up all the way. I definitely agree on the skirt lengths. And DENIM SAUSAGE CASINGS LOL!!! I am structured with mammoth hips and ass and thighs and have a nice waist and massive boobage, pretty much liek you except I'm taller. I ahve the stubbiest legs in teh world and a freakish long torso :/ Since I've gained weight I've been having issues with so many clothes I once loved to wear and this actually is really good info because it's got some great ideas on how to be cute without me having to go through the newly minted "fatter" girl trying through trial and embarassing error. :D
