So, was anyone else shocked by the number of people who brought small children with them to the square tonight

Yeah, it was kind of messed up. What was even more mesed up, though, is that I positioned myself right near a curb on the right-hand side of the stage and made a game of counting (LOUDLY) the number of drunk assholes who fell over it.

Yeah, I had fun. :)
