my current list of books to read is:
the reality dysfunction (but you may not like this one)
the illuminatus trilogy
rainbows end by vernor vinge (I never heard of it but I got it for christmas)
the dresden files books (they are very light reading, but they are surprisingly good)

I've actually read both of those already (albeit in reverse order). Thanks, though.

Shade's Children by Garth Nix? Figure you've read it already.

Galax Arena is similar. Can't remember author's name.

I heard I Am Legend is supposed to be good, too. Can't give it my seal of approval 'cause I haven't read it yet.

Omg I never read books anymore. ;_;

I haven't read Shade's Children yet, but I also have had trouble finding a copy (curse you, Borders! *shakes fist*). I haven't heard of Galax Arena, though, so I'll have to look into both of them. The internet says it's by Gillian Rubinstein, by the way.

I actually read the Wikipedia article for I Am Legend not too long ago. It does sound interesting, but I've spoiled the ending for myself now, plus I'm not sure if it's the kind of book I could read (most books about apocalyptic scenarios freak me out... Except maybe Day of the Triffids).

Okay, then I recommend you make Shade's Children a priority. I found it in the back of our school library in 8th grade. It was scarring at the time, but now I appreciate it as awesome.

Galax Arena kind of has a Stockholm Syndrome thing about it. Kind of interesting.

Yeah, read Shade's Children first.
