“I would if I didn’t have to fear this turning into a bloodbath courtesy of your unsteady hands.”

“They might not be surgeon's hands, but I have been successfully shaving myself for almost a decade, you know.”

“Your youth is not exactly a ringing endorsement in this case, Snyder.”

“Well, you’re just gonna have to deal with it, because I’m not giving up on any bedroom activities and frankly, your beard chaves.”

“Yeah?”

“Thank you.”

“Any time.”

“I know I’ve been even more of an asshole lately, and…”

“Shh, I get it. I know this is frustrating for you, but Dr. Miller said you’re going to get full use of your hands again soon. Just have a little patience.”

“Patience, huh? Well, I guess it has gotten me some pretty amazing things before…”

Nice job! I like that Reid's not all sunshine and roses about his injury but is thankful for Luke helping him.

Yeah, I can't see Reid being totally fine with losing his hands (even temporarily), so he'd probably take it out on someone. Thankfully, Luke knows how to deal with him. ;)

Aw, this is really sweet. I remember hoping that losing the use of his hands was the "price" Reid was supposed to pay according to that spoiler. I had all kinds of horrible scenarios for poor Reid but none of them were as cruel as what we actually got. I guess that's why they are the professionals.

So glad you wrote more!

Oooh, that would've been a really "nice" scenario for the ATWT ending. They still could've done the stupid train thing, but it would've been enough to have him hurt badly. And Luke could've done the growing up thing (which IMO wasn't necessary because he was one of the sanest persons in Oakdale already) while helping Reid recover.
Such professionals, they are...

Glad you liked that line! I'm gonna need more practice with snarky!Reid, but hey, maybe one ficlet a week or every two weeks will take care of that. ;)

Reid might be cranky sometimes, but he has no problem with Luke being there for him and vice versa. :) And that is a good kink to have - it can be incorporated into many fics too! ;)
