“Yes,” Luke says exasperatedly.
The bartender finally shrugs and goes off to get Luke his soda. Luke sighs and puts his head down on the bar counter. He doesn’t know why he’s here. Well, yes, he does, but he doesn’t want to be here. The day before, he and Noah officially broke up for the . . . Luke gives up; he’s lost count. But it seems to Luke that they were broken up a long time ago, even before the fireworks incident. Neither wanted to think it, though, or do anything about it.
