Reid walks into the exam room and sees the redheaded lady, in a Donna Karan pantsuit with a Birkin bag on her lap, sitting calmly and confidently on the bed.

“Hello,” Reid says as he walks over to her. He stands in front of her and crosses his arms. “I have to apologize on behalf of my incompetent staff for not having your chart with me. One of the nurses, who claims to have finished nursing school and whose credentials I’ll have to double-check, lost the chart so you’ll have to excuse me for not knowing any of your medical history or the current condition that brings you here today but rest assured that I will reprimand somebody for that yet still properly diagnose you, Ms ( ... )

Just like Lucinda to make an unannounced visit to size up Luke's love interest. I especially like how you ended it.

“Oh, there’s nothing wrong with me, dear.” She grins. “Just like there’s nothing wrong with you, either.” She winks at Reid. “But I had to see it for myself.”

I loved this take on their first meeting. If only the show had given us such a scene.

I can't believe we didn't get a Reid/Lucinda scene. :(

Great job with establishing their first meeting! Love that Lucinda called Reid out on being self-protective; she's right that Luke needs someone who can express their love for him.

Love that their main concern is making sure that Luke isn't hurt.

Very sweet.

I really liked how everything that they said was short and to-the-point. They really cleared the air and came to the same conclusion quickly. And it was very cute that Lucinda arranged the meeting.
