Reid walked towards the door of the home that he shared with his boyfriend, Luke. They had only been living together for a few months but he felt more at home in the Walsh guesthouse with Luke than he had felt since he was a young child and his parents were still alive. He smiled slightly as he heard the sounds of a Bach concerto wafting from the guesthouse. He’d always enjoyed the mathematical preciseness of classical music ( ... )

Reid will have to take notes on the proper technique for adding glitter to the crafts. I could see him being a good sport about it all. Fun story.

Thanks!!

Reid will be much happier about crafiting once he experiences the power and majesty of a hot glue gun.

Such a nice scene to imagine. Reid and the kids makes a good team, and I really like Luke's new tradition. Glad they're all having a good time.

Lovely!

Thank you! I can't imagine Luke being able to just let Reid enjoy being a grinch so I just picture him trying to tinker with the existing traditions. And I think Reid would find that considerate.

“Since you’re not comfortable with the religious or aesthetic aspects of Christmas, I thought we’d incorporate some winter solstice traditions into our holiday.”

Wow, this is the way I like to see X-mas, thank you for bringing it into this story!

Thanks a lot! I tend to prefer the less splashy aspects of the season myself.

Thanks so much! I appreciate the nice feedback. I know that I could live very happily without ever hearing Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer ever again. Even if it does really have philosophical underpinnings.

"...he heard the sounds of a Bach concerto wafting from the guesthouse. He’d always enjoyed the mathematical preciseness of classical music."
--> Me too, :)

concentrated cuteness and fun: 1) Ethan, tongue stuck out in concentration, was wrapping a bit of ivy around a thick white candle.
2)
“And ‘Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer’ has very deep philosophical underpinnings that are very important to the holidays,” claimed Faith with a smirk.

3) “That’s great,” said Reid. He nuzzled into Luke’s neck until Ethan squealed with laughter and starting making ‘kissing’ noises. Reid pulled back from Luke and they grinned crazily at each other. This being in love thing wasn’t bad,

NOT BAD AT ALL!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I enjoy listening to classical music on occasion but am not knowledgeable about it AT ALL.
