“Well,” Reid called as he stepped forward out of the shadow cast by a large maple, the harsh tone of his voice suddenly silencing their laughter. Luke sprang back looking guilty, and tried to put as much distance between himself and Noah as possible. Ethan disappeared into the nearby tree-house, poking out his tongue at Noah’s back as he scrambled up the ladder. And Noah?
