Reid was not and never had been a big fan of holidays. Luke, however, seemed to think the point of life was to mark every significant or insignificant day with as much gusto as humanly possible. Life was for living and that meant joy, or you might as well be dead. Reid just wanted to know why living had to come with so many decorations when he was pretty sure most days all you needed to celebrate was a bed. Thankfully there was always food, something Reid often found worth celebrating

He turned back to Reid with little pools of tears shimmering in the edges. "My mom actually admitted that you make me happy?"

Aww, I am glad that Lily admitted that just because it made Luke so happy.

I know. I think it's sad how little Luke needs to make him happy, and how little he expects from his parents. But yes, his happiness is paramount. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Aww, thank you so much. I haven't really written or completed writing for any fandom in years. However, I was on a nostalgia kick for Luke/Reid and reading through fiction when the Bingo challenge popped up, and I do like a good challenge and this is what it sparked. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far it's holding out.

And I'm glad you enjoyed this and many of the other stories. :) And she should see the light, it's all very transparent.
