“So you and Richie Rich made up, huh?” Reid asks as he steps into the exam room, where Noah sits patiently on the table.
“Who?”
Reid opens his mouth to answer but shuts it quickly instead. He wants to keep that nickname between him and Luke. “You and Mr. Snyder. The two of you sure weren’t shaking hands when saying your goodbyes.”
Noah smiles. “We weren’t really fighting.”
“But you weren’t really getting along, either, not since he found out that I was taking you to Dallas.” Reid takes out his penlight.
“Can you blame him?” Noah says loudly, catching Reid by surprise.
Is he finally defending Luke? Reid ponders

Sleeper this is wonderful. You did a great job of capturing their characters. I swore I heard Van, Eric, and Jake talking in my ear while reading this.
This is fantastic. Nice characterization for everyone!
It's interesting that the show was pretty consistent with Noah being 'everything' to Luke and Noah always being the one trying to escape the relationship. They never seemed to make the relationship 'even'. The most heart-felt declaration I can remember from Noah [and I realize this is in hindsight] is the "i always imagined that you'd be coming to Los Angeles with me" speech. Not that the scene was particular heart-felt.
Thanks for reading! But no, unfortunately, this isn't a new fic. I'm writing one right but this ain't it. I hope to post it soon; it's a short one, though, 2 or 3 chapters only. :)
i always felt like Noah felt like he owned Luke & Luke would always do what he told him to do. he had him trained that if he didn't do what he wanted he would punish Luke by withholding any affection from him & break up with him until he was satisfied that Luke had learned his lesson & he would then take him back. Poor Luke never had another choice of someone else to know that that's not how a healthy relationship should go until he met Reid.
