Reid, looking uncertain and just a little disgusted with himself, held out a dozen long stem roses. Luke raised an eyebrow at the unsolicited gift and let the uncomfortable silence drag out.
Luke finally broke the silence when the corner of Reid's eye started to twitch. "Really?"
Reid grimaced and gritted out, "It was Katie's idea. Just...take them."
Shaking his head, Luke's face hardened and he said, "No way. I don't want them. I want you to say it."
Reid dropped the roses to the floor. His cheek started to twitch. Reid looked left; he looked right. He looked down. Reid closed his eyes and looked up, before taking a ragged breath and finally muttered, "I...was...wrong."
Luke grinned wide. "What was that?"
Reid looked him in the eye and practically sneered, "I was wrong, you were right. Are you happy now?"
He pulled Reid's rigid body into his arms, and murmured happily, "Very."
