poor Reid, such a punishment. i wonder if he'll do it again just to get another "punishment" something tells me he will probably try it again but only when he knows Snoopy will be ok.

I guess Snoopy did get the harder punishment LOL!!...and knowing Reid he will do something again but hopefully not risking Snoopy this time:)

So cute! Thankfully Snoopy is okay. I can't help feeling a bit bad for him though. His punishment seems a lot worse than Reid's. haha

You're right, Luke should have given something nicer to Snoopy and harsher to Reid:))

As they settled in the kitchen Reid and Snoopy looked up at Luke, Reid was sitting on a chair and Snoopy on the floor beside him. Both were listening to Luke’s lecture about not letting Snoopy off the leash.

Ha, this is such an awesome image! LOL.

And so happy they found Snoopy. And even happier that Reid's gonna be "punished."

Thanks, I know I can just image Reid looking a little contrite since he usually doesn't do these bonehead kind of things and yep, Snoopy sitting beside him as Luke chastises the two of them...not harshly of course and yeah Reid is definitely getting the better punishment LOL!!

Thank you, I don't know where these ficlets come from, we were talking at dinner about Snoop Dog (oops Lion now) and bam the story started to form...I'm a huge Peanuts and Snoopy fan as well and I remember Charlie Brown bringing Snoopy home from the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm:))

Well of course that was my devious plan LOL!! and I know you have a soft spot for beagles...I love Snoopy and the Peanuts and I enjoyed bringing out my Santa Snoopy today as we started to decorate the house. I had my first stuffed Snoopy at the tender age of five and then I have one that is about ten years old, the story just popped into my head as I tried to figure out a scenario for "Crime and Punishment".

Ahaha! Loved the kitchen scene! And I doubt Reid will try to be a good boy from now on, with this kind of punishment...

Snoopy sighed and laid down, his nose on his front paws, his brown eyes looking sad. Aww, it's so cute when they do that!

“Remember, genius, chess protégé, I didn’t watch cartoons or read comics,” Reid huffed back at Luke, knowing his childhood wasn’t like other kids.
“Poor Reid, no fun, no friends,” Luke teased and saw the hurt flicker across Reid’s eyes for an instant, “Oh, baby, I’m sorry,” Luke apologized quickly, “You know I’m only teasing.”

This. This always gets to me. Sigh.

I know how Reid's childhood was so stilted compared to many and now with Luke he gets to be a kid again, and I can imagine him being nervous about getting a dog and doubting he could take care of it and love it...it makes me "sad" too thinking of him like that. But as always Luke makes everything okay, and yes the genius sometimes has to learn the hard way...which I think he's going to enjoy LOL!!!

Guess that extra special lube might get opened tonight! (Loved that the place was named Daisy Hill.) This is such a cute story....I'd love another revisit to this universe sometime. I'm not sure what kind of training could really keep a young beagle from following a trail and getting lost!

Hey thank you, I haven't heard from you in awhile, happy to see you are still reading:)) Re-visiting we'll see how the mind goes with it, you just never know with me LOL!!! I have a pug-beagle mix and I never took her off the leash until she was two and I knew she would listen to commands, she's a sweetie and loves to stay close even though her nose is always to the ground:))
