~Fun Fic Friday~

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's the day before the weekend, and what better way to close out the first week of the new year than with a fun dose of ficlets and drabbles of Luke, Reid, or Luke & Reid? Or how about some amazing icons or graphics of the guys? (Don't be fooled by the name - Fun (Graph)Fic Friday just didn't have the same ring to ( Read more... )

Wherever I lay my hat
that's my home

"You're the most 'in the here and now' person that I know of, but I'm not. And I know this does mean nothing to you, 'a few boxes, a key' as you call it. But to me, it feels like you still have an escape. And even though I know you're committed, and I really do not need a ring or a signature, I'm still worried about that escape. It has nothing to do with you, it's all about me, my baggage, my upbringing, my experiences, I know that. So please, Reid, can we please go to Dallas, pack up your things and close that door?"

How could he say no? It really was of no importance to him, a few boxes, a key, but it meant the world to his man. So he picked up his phone and made all the arrangements. Anything. He would do anything for Luke. His hat found a hook.

Yeah, though Luke is the crybaby and Reid is the compartmentalizing rationalist, Luke is the tough one and Reid's a softy - when it comes to the people he loves, that is :) And I guess some things are just not that important to Reid, so it's easy to give in there, he just shrugs.

Thank you!

That's so lovely! Yes, I can see how Luke would feel like this. Glad Reid can make it all better.

Thank you! Yes, I think the Dallas apartment bothered Luke. He is so embedded in Oakdale soil, he needs safety, a refuge, one home, while Reid is a nomad, who maybe even has a few boxes and a key of other places as well, without thinking about it.

Glad Reid can make it all better.
Ha, it's his purpose in life. That and fixing brains and kicking asses :)

I better stop now, the comment's almost longer than the drabble I wrote - can't help myself, it's so nice to think about these two... ;)
