SPN: 4:10 Dean Loves Cas

I think that there were a lot of hints that Dean started having strong feelings for Cas WAY before seasons six and seven.  In season 4, we already know that Cas is emotionally compromised by Dean, that everyone around him comments on it, from Uriel to Anna to Zachariah.  But is Dean feeling the love?  Oh, yes.  Yes and yes.

Thank you. I love obsessing over Dean/Cas. I'm so on edge for the new season that it helps me cope. :)

I like Cas right from the very beginning but I didn't ship those two together immediately. Cas was more of a protector/friend to Dean then and I didn't get the in-love thing initially, though I did think that Cas loved Dean, platonically that is. I can't remember when I started shipping them but it was probably all the Dean/Cas fics I had been reading.

In my head canon, Cas fell in love with Dean first, with Dean only realuzing it much, much later. And that moment when Dean gave Cas back his trenchcoat, well, that just about sealed it for me.
