High school student diagnoses her own disease

My question is, how did she get her own intestinal tissue to bring to class? Do doctors let their patients have tissue samples?

oh yes, Matt from Caustic posted that yesterday and I forwarded to my coworkers, but I forgot to write about it myself. I showed the article to all my students.

Any patient can request the slides made from biopsies of their own tissues. She then brought it to class. Its not like she took a biopsy of her intestinal tissue right there in class!!!!

Its really an amazing story though!!!!
