Sunshine (I forget the author right now)

the fairy princess books by Laurel K. Hamilton are also very good. And not as cheesy as it sounds.

ah ha! I remembered her name: Robin McKinley (sp?)wrote Sunshine.

Also good, by Rachel Morgan,
a series with books titled "Dead Witch Walking", "The Good, The Bad, The Undead", "Every Which Way But Dead", and "A Fistful of Charms". Not as good as Laurel K. Hamilton, but fun in their own way.
