Yesterday I actually had a vague craving to sit around and watch TV. I didn't do it because I had stuff to do that had me out and about, but I considered it.

I don't remember the last time I watched a commercial that wasn't at a movie theatre (and oh does that piss me off!).

Commercials are weird and awesome...especially Canadian commercials. I don't know what they're on up there, but I want some!

I watched 5 hours of Olympics last night... and those are Tivo hours, so it was probably around 10 hours of TV time. I do love the Tivo. I get to fastforward all the commercials and their brain sucking powers do not affect me! And I could watch all the last 3 days of olympics in one night.

I know. It's really cool. It's one of the reasons that was my wedding present to Robbie & Josie.

Have you seen the Tivo sketch on Robot Chicken?

Now you just need a DVR, and you can watch the Olympics on your own time and don't have to stay up until all hours. ;) although i've discovered that they re-broadcast the evening telecast at 2:30 in the morning, so don't worry about missing things in the wee hours. you probably saw it the night before. I'm also enjoying the gymnastics. looking forward to the individuals. :)

and a comment on the Phelps-mania...i'm not particularly a swimming fan, but how often do you get to see world records shattered by one guy and his team? it's pretty incredible. :)

Seriously, with the amount of viagra-and-others spam I delete daily from emails, how can I not treat TV ads for drugs with the exact same disdain? ^_^
