Ok seriously, can you tweet this to GY or Shore because it's really an incredible and truthful look at what is so obvious. Unfortunatly, I have a feeling that Lucas is a plot device to bring Huddy together and what has transpired between House and Wilson will again be on the back burner in the latter half of the season. I don't see a possibility for a healthy long term relationship with House and Cuddy but have a feeling they will try and go that way. Anyway, regardless of what TPTB do with the show, your take on things is so much more realistic. Thanks for sharing :)

M.E.W.: Many thanks for your comment! :-) Yes, I fear you're right and that Lucas is merely used to create conflict. I really wish it would be Huddy that is finally put on the back burner--for good (frankly, it's getting boring, and there's just no way to make this relationship work without completely changing the characters anyway)...

I don't think that Wilson wanted House to go to the conference with him because he wanted House's support since he wasn't even planning on telling House what really happened to his patient or about the speech he was gonna make, his reason seems good enough to me, I know it's only one weekend but being a recovering former drug addict it was better not to risk a weekend alone yet. Not saying Wilson wouldn't enjoy House's company though, of course ( ... )

No, of course Wilson didn't plan to tell House anything, but he knew what he was about to do and that the outcome would be difficult to deal with. So he probably thought having House with him would be comforting even without revealing the topic of his paper or directly sharing his burden with House. Just because he is there.

About leaving him alone for the weekend: The thing is, Wilson couldn't do anything if House chooses to take Vicodin again, whether he is physically nearby or not. He can be there to offer emotional support, he can talk to House and he can try to help him deal with problems and conflicts, but if House ever decided to return to his old habits, Wilson would be helpless and unable to stop him (as seen in 6x02).

M.E.W.: Thank you! :-) And I agree: Their relationship definitely is the most convincing and most interesting one! :-) How I wish they'd put House and Wilson into the focus of the show and stop pushing Huddy at us...
