It's as lyrically beautiful the second time round as it was the first. I particularly like the "artwork" by the teenagers acting as a trigger, making House focus on his real loss, and the sea as almost a character in the fic, its voice heard as a counterpoint to Wilson's in House's head.
Unfortunately another fic which is IC, follows what happened in the show closely, and ends tragically (it could be a companion piece to alternatealto's recent Wreckage - also for the effect it has on me).

This is so sad and so ... real. I should have commented the first time I read it, but this second time it's even better. Every word ... like the sea ... <3

I'm sure a lot of people read it ... the thing is (with ME anyway) when something is very thought-provoking, I sometimes don't comment right away because I need to mull over my words ... then if I didn't *mem* the story (which this one I DID) ... sometimes I never get back around to it. This one is painfully believable, and exceedingly well-written. <3
