My first remix

Here's a remix I did for La Chansons, who are a fellow Atlanta synthpop band and friends of mine. It's for their song "Mall Magic". They gave me a vocal track, and I made all the rest. Tell me what you think!

I found that out talking to Greg! I was like "I've met your brother before! With Amy, Leuwam, and Erika!" Small world! We're playing at WonderRoot this Thursday night, you all should come out!

That remix is RAD! Pretty trusting of them to *only* give you the vocals...speaks volumes to your writing.

I've always gone the opposite route when remixing; I tend to use the source material as exclusively as possible in one form or another without adding much, if anything, at all (the remix I did for BSLS was a rare case where I added a part myself). I can't decide whether working within limitations begets creativity, or that the limitlessness of writing something from scratch overwhelms me.

Aw, thanks Zach! I assumed they were giving me all of the tracks for the song, but I only got the vocals in the end. I kinda like having that challenge though. I have to wonder if they sent only vocals because they:
a.) trusted my writing

or

b.) did not want to waste an afternoon loading each seperate track to yousendit
