Doctor Who
Just finished marathoning the last season of new Doctor Who- it's what Five? in the new count? Which baffled me big time when it originally aired. I've been watching DW since Four hit the US airwaves- literally, I caught the last five minutes of 'Planet of the Spiders' during an OPB marathon, went WTF?! and have been watching ever since- and ( Read more... ) -
I'z confuzed
Paul (my laptop) can't access my email but Michael (my iPod Touch) can. o_O What the hell, IP? -
It's fixed!
Turns out the boot files were MoC because the hard drive had somehow fried its little mind; the primary partition was missing and without that, the entire drive is useless. No wonder Paul couldn't find it's boot files. :/
Anywho, $133 later (I think I saved myself some $$ because I had the recovery disks), Paul is back in business and I am slowly ( Read more... ) -
Computer update
My boot files seem to be MoC; missing or corrupted. Either way, the comp can't do what it needs to. Toshiba wants me to take it to a Toshiba repair place but since the warranty expired November 7, I'm taking it to the same place Sister took hers.
Hopefully, it's just the boot files messing things up and not the hard drive. ::crosses fingers::

Not pleased
Paul will not start, can't repair itself and the recovery disk doesn't work.
Clear's equipment is going to be returned, undamaged for full refund, and I'm going to find out how much of a fit I have to pitch to make them pay for repairs.

Okay, drastic measures it is. ::inserts recovery disk::
Between the backup program and my tendency to put the stuff I really like in several places (the comp is really just a backup for my handheld and I know enough to want backup for my backup. Some of my favortist things are in four different places), I should only lose a little bit.

Update
Since I can't edit posts Michael (and this lets me have a timeline); Paul has been attempting to start for almost a half hour. This does not bode well.
Paul get until midnight before I do something quite possibly stupid.
