We had a big family get-together for Grandma's birthday today~
She's... uh... old? Well, not old, but older. I don't know how much-- er, well, I mean I know she's a year older because it's an annual thing but I mean I don't know her exact age but the point is she gained some exp and we're celebrating another level up. \o/

'Sides, she doesn't really ( Read more... )

LOL @ your grandma leveling up.

Pokemon bonding for the win! How cute that you had so much fun, even if it seemed kind of complicated! XD

There were two kids in Gamestop the other day, I swear they were no older than 11, going on about how Mortal Kombat was so fun and how many fatalities were in the game and how they wanted to play Left 4 Dead and I'm like O_O. I actually wanted to find the parents and ask them if they actually let their kids play those games. I don't know, I kind of find it disturbing to hear younger kids going on about that kind of stuff. Is that the norm these days?

Yeah. After today I went from really disliking kids to "They're not so bad once they're into Pokemons~ =3=" XD;;

To be honest, I'm not sure if that's the norm. I'm fairly sure my cousin's kid doesn't have a game system (which actually makes me happy because that means I'll be the "cool cousin with the game system~" that my cousins with SNES and Sega Genesis were to me) since he didn't actually know how to play the Pokemon video game when he picked it up. I mean, he figured it out pretty quick, but-- wait this is unrelated to the question. Lemme start over.I guess I'm not entirely sure what the norm is. I mean, I don't really know that many parents' rules on games for kids, and I don't know that many super young people now that I'm in college. Everyone's like, 20-something here ( ... )

W-well she did! ;3;
I'm so glad people are amused by that. XD

Yeah. OTL
It's so weird though. I mean, when I was younger I was always afraid of games with blood and stuff where I couldn't see behind me and NPCs shot at me or attacked from behind. It just seemed too much like something that could actually happen and I'd be all paranoid and looking over my shoulder for the rest of the day. Now there are kids that are just like, "SO I KILLED 39 HOOKERS IN THIS GAME I GOT THE OTHER DAY." ;;
I'm probably just a wuss though too. I don't even like walking by windows when I'm home alone because I think a burglar or a sniper will see me, which is dumb because the light's on and they would know I'm here anyway, Self. :| /tangent

I mean, I said a lot of insensitive/violent things, but when I actually saw graphic stuff like that I was like, "OH GOD WHY IS THAT WHY ;A: /RUNNING FROM SCREEN"

I guess if they don't feel pain from it they don't realize that those on the receiving end would, but somehow it seems worse than it used to be. ._.

My God ( ... )
