How long can I store my products for?

I bought some bath products from Lush recently (bath bombs, melts and bubble bars) but I've being referred to a Gyno, I would prefer not to use them until afterwards. I don't want to risk Thrush and miss my appointment, sorry tmi! So I can't use them until late December or possibly longer, what would you suggest to be the best before date? They'll be fine for ages. I think the expiry date on ballistics and bubble bars is 12 it 14 months, but I've had some sitting around for over 2 years and they're fine. Just make sure you keep them somewhere dry and they'll be okay - the worst that will happen is they might not smell quite as strong. Melts are meant to expire a bit faster, but again, I've got some I've had for ages and they're like new, just keep them somewhere cool.

Thank you :) I'm planning to use my bath melts in the shower to rub all over me, if that makes sense. Because I'm greedy and want to use them nowwww.

Hmm... Some have kept their bath products for 1 or 2 years (or even more) without much problems. No, we're not crazy; we just love hoarding limited edition/discontinued goods. So hopefully your stash would be fine with some proper storage (but it's still probably best to use them up within the first 6-12 months, just in case). I'd recommend putting them in separate ziploc/sandwich bags or plastic tupperware to prevent any loss in scent, as well as stopping them from meshing with one another. It's best NOT to leave them in the paper bags you get from the store as it will eventually absorb some of the oils/moisture and there'll be some loss in colour (especially the case for bubble bars). Oh, and the usual "keep it in a cool, dry place." Good luck!

I doubt a smear will take 6-12 months unless there's a problem, hopefully not. I'm currently storing them in plastic bags with tags around them, like yummy bread. I had no idea the paper bags could absorb the oil though, thanks!

A few years ago, I used a bath bomb with glitter in it the night before my yearly girlie exam. (I'd forgotten.) My doctor got a sparkley surprise. My friends still kid me about it!

I would probably put my melts in the fridge but I live in a shared house. But I assure you fruit is not a problem! There's currently nail varnish in the fruit section.

Agreed about the wrapping in plastic and the fridging of anything that might melt.
