Yeah, I seem to remember Cathy and Vanessa checking over my very first resume. Of course, now I'm being told I need to build my skill base from "secretary". No shit. That's why I'm going to grad school. I don't want to type shit for the CIA. I want to have a hot man-secretary for that.
Yaaay Vanessa's helping me as we speak.. I support hot man-secretary business, though... I also think for mine, Vanessa's, and Fiji's endless amusement that you should create a reality show where you find the hottest man-secretary possible. :D they could be forced to, among other exciting tasks, duel you in broadsword or duel each other. witty rapier banter expected anyway, though, because in reality TV you're allowed to be unreasonable.
i think it'd be working with/teaching children and being a slave and stuff.. and since there's so little here in our field i want to be doing something useful with my time already geez! when do i get to have a little more of you in my life btw?
I just read your entry now (have been seriously short on internet time lately) and if you want me to still take a look, let me know! I love doing this sort of thing.
I just did my second discussion board post for my global governance class, and the writing on some of the other posts would KILL you. I give allowances to the foreigners in my class (there's a girl from Mongolia, a couple Chinese, and a guy from the Philippines, though I feel he has less of an excuse, because English is commonly spoken there. It's not just Tagalag and Spanish), but the Americans should do better. Granted, it's a brief, couple paragraphs post that we only have a couple of days to do, and they don't have to be terribly polished, but I still expect a bit more out of official homework. I pity my professor when she has to read twenty pages of their writing. I shall just have to have perfect grammar, and hope she reads mine last, and is so relieved by the fact that everything is spelled and written correctly that she'll give me an A. Maybe?
