I nominated my student for an undergraduate research award from the Entomological Society of America and she won!  She gets to present her research at the national conference, all expenses paid, in November.  The criteria for the award included merit of the research and the student's educational outreach and dedication to the field of entomology.

Yeah, I could not help myself- I also informed our provost and president. I mean, this reflects really well on the college, right? The provost already wrote back to me and commented that she loves how proud of MaLisa I am. I just can't help it; she's done good. I think she was really embarrassed, though, at her graduation, when her mom and I were talking about her (too much praise).
