The thin film burned and blew out the computer and the sensors. My Pops researched it.. and we found out that it's more expensive to fix that and the valve in the broken burner... than a whole new appliance... but I don't have the extra money at the moment... I just got a fridge and washer and dryer... so we are totally groovin' on the cRockpot, gas stove and microwave.
Oh... yeah, high tech ovens tend to be a BITCH when you start talking about film and computers... nevermind. I did that once and got 3 bad chips before I fixed it right.
I've been cRockpotting a lot in the last two months and one of my favorites so far is a kinda French chicken stew.
I put two parts chopped onion to one part chopped carrots and one part chopped celery, then on top of that a layer of big-bite-sized sweet potato chunks, and then on top of that a layer of chicken thighs (w/skin and bones). I salt and pepper each layer lightly and maybe add a couple of bay leaves and some herbs. Then I cook it on slow about 8 hours or 4 hours on high. It's really good and supper easy. I loves my cRockpot, too!
