Oh boy. I did not need a new fandom. But I got one!

I'm going to be president of the Sci-Fi Fantasy club at school next year, and out of a keen awareness of my lack of nerd cred in the area of Star Trek, I have begun watching that genius show, starting with the first episode of the original series ( Read more... )

Star Trek owned my soul long before I ever joined LJ and it's gotten even worse after the new movie. So many new possibilities! I used to just ship K/S and now I ship K/Mc even harder, not to mention Kirk with pretty much anyone! XD

Btw, if you ever need any K/S or K/Mc recs, I've got plenty of them. I think I may have a few Kirk/Spock/McCoy saved on my delicious.

It's nice to see you back, bb. ♥

Well, Kirk does seem to go about the galaxy boning aliens for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. So he's kind of asking to slashed, too.
I've also heard of an infamous novel that features terribly written but pretty much explicit slashiness. Do you know anything about this?

Rec me up, buttercup!

It's nice to be back! If I could physically roll around luxuriating in LJ, I would.

I think the book that you are referring to is "Killing Time" which I sadly do not have. It's practically impossible to find an unedited version, since they pulled the original because it was too slashy. D: I have copies of both the "The Price of the Phoenix" and "The Fate of the Phoenix" by Sondra Marshak & Myrna Culbreath which I highly recommend as they are quite slashy.

*rubs hands together* Ok, these first few recs are all Kirk/McCoy, only because they are crossovers with universes that I'm sure you will enjoy. ;)

Walk Visible Under the Sun a ST:XI/Lord of the Rings x-over.
That Which They Defend another ST:XI/Lord of the Rings x-over by caitri, who also wrote a short ST:XI/SPN x-over Even Angels Fall. She also wrote a ST:XI/Kushiel’s Legacy series x-over called Love As Thou Wilt (which she's writing an epic sequel to) if you are interested.

Kirk/Spock rec list of DOOM

And my Kirk/Spock/McCoy delicious tag which only has 8. Woes. I clearly need to search out more.

KIRK/SPOCK/MCCOY. I KNEW I LOVED YOU FOR A REASON. <3 <3 <3

I grew up on TNG, so I thought I didn't like TOS. And then one day I saw "All Our Yesterdays" and I went O.O ... \o/! (And then there's the prison scene in "Bread and Circuses"...)

My delicious bookmarks (under the same username) have an archive of Spock/McCoy if you should ever require it. <3

(Also, that icon will NEVER STOP BEING AWESOME.)

HUZZAY! I KNEW I WAS WORTHY, I JUST DIDN'T KNOW WHY!

I haven't seen "All Our Yesterdays" yet, but man, I'm already absorbing the slashy vibes like a sponge.
Everyone's told me I'm probably going to hurt myself with excitement by the time I get to TNG, so I can't wait to see it!

Awwww yeahh. I believe I do, in fact, require that. Feed the cravings. (Is this why my diets always fail?)

(It truly never will. Whoever made it was no doubt a blessed servant of the divine P.O'B.

Star Trek is delightful in nearly any incarnation. I'm so very with you on the Kirk/Spock (&...yeah, a little with you on the Kirk/Spock /McCoy). ♥

My heart, however, belongs to Deep Space Nine--so once you've made your epic voyage through TOS and TNG, give it a try. :x 'C-cause. Crazy cynical space politics! Character development everywhere! plus the best antagonists of any Star Trek series, hands down.

Goddamn I love your icon.

I'm glad I have your approval. :)

There's more ST after TNG? Oh dear, what on earth have I gotten myself in for?

You've seen the video, I believe?

There is! Though...DS9's the only one worth watching. Opinions vary, but Voyager and Enterprise kinda suck. xD DS9, though! waaaaaaaaaaatch it. one day. best ensemble cast.

& yes I have. and it rocks. I shall watch it again.

Oh dear. How many hours of excitement do I have to look forward to?
