When American girls go their proms....KKEEERRRRIST ALL MIGHTY BUT THEY WEAR SOME MAKEUP. And the hair! What is WITH the hair?!?! It reminds me of that one scene in Interview With a Vampire, where Louis and Lestat are in Orleans, and they've the two girls in their parlour, and Lestat has killed one, and is killing the other while Louis paces around ( Read more... )

Over on my side of the country we don't get a lot of CURLS OF DOOM, or at least not that I've seen. When my sister was in high school, and from the pictures I see at school, a lot of people do fancy pony tail things or leave it down. Or those little French twisty things? I don't really know. But yeah. Okay.

The french twisty things as in a French roll? That's nice though, tasteful. It's just the girls who leave like...two massive chunks of hair down on either temple, and get it doom-curled.

Let me see if I can find some pictures.....

At my year 12 formal (basically the same thing as a prom I think) most, if not all of the girls were done up like that.

I think they believe that the 'curls of doom' make them look more sophisticated or something.

they make them look something but I wouldn't jump straight to sophisticated. More like spasticated...

I'm not ALWAYS dissing anyone. I am, this one time, making a derogatory remark towards a minority within a certain country, in this instance teenage girls ranging from lets say...16-19 in American High Schools.

Are you a teenage girl aged 16-19 in an American High School? No. You're an American Poss aged 26 in Iraq, and I am incredibly ok with being in love with you.
I was just in a bad mood because I had a fight with someone who will remain nameless this morning.

rofl @ curls of doom... sounds like you're gonna try to cut those tresses off and throw them in a volcano. Or something.
