Eragon, Rodney, Buffy

Dec 14, 2006 13:48

Yesterday, we went to see Eragon. (Haha. Sorry IMDB, it was all about him. :D)

Why I read the book: There was a dragon on the front cover. Also, my little cousin coerced me.

Why we went to see the movie:
  1. I'm lame.
  2. I hoped that it would banish all the Dawson's Creek look-at-me-and-my-big-vocabulary-ness of the book.
  3. IT HAS A DRAGON.
  4. from the trailers ( Read more... )

sga, connor reilly, popcorn, books

I went in there with virtually no memory of book, having tried my best to not commit much of it to memory even WHILE I was reading.

hahahah I feel exactly the same way! I read it and liked it enough to buy Book 2 but it was really more of a "Aww. 15 year old boy writes books about dragons. How cute!" more than anything else.

I will be going to see it but I have to go solo cause my friends here will NOT go see it with me. We're going to see Casino Royale this weekend anyway. :)

Hi! Got your message on my journal. I'm always excited to make more Trini friends on LJ. :) Were you born here? How long have you been in CA? I spent 4 years in MA in college but I'm back in Trinidad about a year now.

Whee! A HP/Fantasy loveing/Trini LJ friend is just awesome! :D

Exactly! But I saw a Making Of thing for Eragon and I've got to admit, I find Paolini a wee bit annoying; Ed Speelers himself was pretty funny and adorable. (Um, I think I'm developing a crush on the kid; I'm so ashamed. :D)

Luckily, my friends are easily influenced and know my geeky ways so well: last week actually, we saw the Bond movie (I have no idea what's up with all the movie-going lately) and after the Eragon trailer they turned to me, "You've read that book, haven't you?" So I kinda meekly nodded, and they were like, "Yeah, of course you have; we'll come back when it opens to see it." :D

Ha! Okay, my bad. I've had that address in my info for so long, I've forgotten what it says; it's actually Buffy's address. I was born in Trinidad and I've lived in NJ for a while, but I'm back here as well. I'm *thinking* about a vacation to NJ next week, since pretty much all my family lives there, but I'm not sure if it'll work out.

Yes, it is! Hi, I'm Nicole. Nice to meet you!

Heh. If I had read the entire address I would have picked up on the Sunnydale part! lol Where in T&T do you live? I'm in Arima though I work in Woodbrook. How long have you been back?

My friends looked at me when the ad for Eragon came on and said: "You are so going to see that one by yourself". lol

I'm a book gal but have found myself going to the movies often since returning home. Saw Deja Vu last weekend, Bond this weekend and will probably go see Eragon soon. :D I didn't realise it was out here already.

I only lived in NJ for some of elementary and middle school, so I've been in T&T for ages since then(okay I'm 21, so not AGES.)

(Re: your post)
And, heh! My friend, Anna, and I have had our LJs for *checks* nearly 4 years (wow, that's shocking) so I'm sorry to ruin your theory! :P But I think we're pretty crazy unique, if it's any consolation. :D

I'm from South. Gasparillo, more specifically, and work in San Fernando (maybe in PoS soon - depends on if I get this job.)

Haven't seen Deja Vu, but Casino Royale was lots of fun.
I have no idea why we got Eragon early; it's only supposed to be released worldwide today.
