How exciting! (Being the historical nut that I am)
I can totally relate -- back in 2001 when we had the second EDSA Revolution in the Philippines, I was glued to the TV set and I felt so excited to be part of such a historical event. (Plus, I was also ecstatic that school was out, since everyone was in the streets!)
What's going to happen now, though? Thailand is under martial law now, right? :) Did they say what the plans were? :)
lol I was so exciting, really(because...haha I'm a historical nut too)
The military commander(aka the head of this coup) said that they're going to form the new government(I'm totally disagree with that, there should be an election) And my country isn't under the martial law yet...at least, not now *sigh*
the news that we get here makes the situation in Thailand look really scary... but from people that I've talked to that are there, they just seem excited that they got a day off of school
stupid media.
i'm glad you had an extra day for reading :) i hope everything stays peaceful.
lol The coup sounds so scary itself. When it came to my country, I found out that it's not so much exciting like I expected(according to Thailand historic events I've studied at school)
It seems like nobody felt afraid, I guess because we knew that this coup would happen sooner or later, just that.
Wow, its weird hearing of a Coup where the people aren't scared or angry or anything. My family and I have lived through like 6 in Haiti haha. Those weren't very nice haha.
Haha, when the military commander declared about the coup, I was so exciting! (Because I expected all those craps I've known from books like...tanks, guns and blah blah blah) But the fact is, there's no fight(it's good anyway)
In the past, every coup in Thailand toke many people's lives. Glad that it's not happening again.
