I had a Genesis. Almost got a Super Nintendo, but went Sega instead. Totally worth it. However, we (meaning my brother and I, and later husband) dumped both platforms for the Play Station. Until the Wii came along...

There were some great games for the Dreamcast and I regret not getting one for that simple reason. Oh well.

I love my DreamCast. I have the earlier v1.0 that has NO DRM of any kind, its awesome to just burn games off the torrents and play directly in the DC. There are a lot of great games for the system, they run $40 bucks used (at least thats what I paid) and there are emulators for NES, SNES and GENESIS that run great and fit hundreds of games on each list.

I love it. LOVE.

God damn that was such an awesome console. I have some fond memories of that little guy, not the least of which was the hours I spent on PSO.
