i'm still concerned about my relationship with rory. he's been showing little or no affection at all, even when i drop subtle hints. well, he told me last night that he had used up his energy showing affection. i dont know what to do now, he's in a completley different universe and i feel close to giving up. even though i said i trusted him i cant

Talk to him more if possible. Ask him if he's happy.
Tell him you don't want to go back to him over and over, you don't want to bother him, but you are worried.
Tell him to BE HONEST. If what he needs to do is put you out of your misery and fear and tell you straight that he is losing love, tell him to DO IT.
Make sure he knows what you just wrote - that you want him to be happy no matter what.
(But then, he could just need some time to refresh himself. If he said he's out of energy, it may be due to -too much time- spent being affectionate. Maybe he's just tired, and uninspired because of that - to the point that he can't function with it. Try and clarify about that, too, if you can!)
I hope you and Rory can resolve everything. The best thing is to keep the lines of communication open, and to do that, you need to talk.
So...
Don't be afraid.
